Dragon*Con takes over Atlanta |
2010 San Diego Comic-Con's opening night already sold out!?
A friend sent this ominous text message while I was at the House of Blues on L.A.'s Sunset Strip during "80's night." The message simply stated "Hey comic con tickets are sold out."
Wha... already?
When I checked the San Diego Comic-Con website, the news was partially true. The Comic-Con decided to offer the popular opening preview night as a separate option for the full 4-day membership as the event hit physical capacity limits with over 125,000 attendees each of the past few years. However, even with over 9 months to go until the 2010 Comic-Con International in San Diego, all of the memberships with this option had already sold out.
Last year's Comic-Con had completely sold out well before the show was underway and anyone who showed up at the door without pre-arranged admission was pretty much out of luck. This serves as a wake up call for anyone who plans to attend to register for one of the remaining spots early or forever hold their peace.
