Breaking news |
Chicago Equality Rally LGBT
Took place today coinciding with the National Equality March in Washington.
We wanted to be there in person, but were there in spirit.
We braved the traffic rerouting through the city caused by the Chicago Marathon in the morning and the frigid temperatures.
The crowd of hundreds gathered at the Picasso in Daley Plaza.
We want action now!
Enough of the talk. I am former military both Honorably Discharged from the Navy and the Army, so Don't Ask Don't Tell burns me up.
DOMA is just unfair and discriminatory.
I only wish that the Hate Crimes bill could take care of DOMA.
Everyone was energized. Next time we need to double or triple the crowd.
I am very happy to be able to change history. Because I know that eventually, we will be able to get married, serve our country and be protected in our jobs and from the hateful biggoted people who try to hurt other honest tax paying American citizens.
