More Georgia Flooding
With heavy rains once again moving across Georgia Monday, the National Weather Service has issued Flash Flood Watches and Warnings across the station. This image shows what is traditionally a small stream - no deeper than one inch on most days - in Athens, Georgia on the campus of the University of Georgia. As of when this photo was taken, only a Flash Flood Watch was posted for Athens county. However, a Flash Flood Warning was recently issued for Jaskson County, just north of Athens. Several inches of rain and more flooding are expected by the end of the day.
