Here we go again...
Three weeks ago, I posted a video which captured flooding at National Park end of Columns Drive. At 8:00am (time of the video) the water had begun to spill over the bridge, making it unpassable. Rain continued to fall throughout the day, flooding Columns Drive in several places and stranding hundreds of people unable to make it across the bridge. The flood caused millions of dollars in damage to dozens of homes on the riverfront; clean-up is still ongoing in many places.
This video, shot at 4:30pm on October 12th, 2009, shows the same creek beginning to flood again. If you follow at the link below, you'll see that for the next two days, we've got nothing but more rain coming. Wish us luck...

***UPDATE - although not terribly newsworthy by today's standards, this is as bad as the flooding got last night. By this morning, due to only light showers received overnight, the creek has receded by about three feet. The flooded areas on Columns Drive are now just puddles.
