International Food Protection Training Institute receives 1 million in Federal Funding
October 12, 2009: Battle Creek, Michigan. Congressman Mark Schauer (D) announced to a group of local dignitaries at Western Michigan University's Kendall Center, the location of the IFPTI, that the Institute would be receiving a budget allocation of 1 million dollars.
Battle Creek is the proverbial small town in the midwest. One that has suffered badly from the economic downturn, and this funding represents a significant investment in the revitalization of the Main Street of Battle Creek, where the Institute is located.
