In my work as a reporter I come accross a lot of stories but this one tops the list!  I just came back from the Sebokeng hospital, Gauteng Province, South Africa after receiving a call from the sister of a victim of a rape and assault incident.  I arrived at the hospital with my colleague Lerato Serero thinking that this is just another crime story but we found was a tragic tale, one that should never take place.

This woman, who has allowed me to report her gruesome tale lies in her hospital bed after four men entered her home and repeatedly raped her over the weekend.  My heart almost stopped when the victim and her sister told us that this is not the first time she had been brutally raped and beaten by men known to her.

The case has since been reported to the local authorities, the Sebokeng branch of the South African Police Services and investigations into the matter are underway.

The family has also granted us another exclusive interview scheduled on Friday and we will come back to iReport to reveal more details about the case.
