Sea Lions Live on Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf. San Francisco Bay.
During my recent visit to beautiful San Francisco, I took this video. Protected by Bay's Marine Life Protection, the sea lions here, vie for places on the floating rafts, at Pier 39 at Fisherman's Wharf, on San Francisco Bay.
I was happy to know that these beautiful creatures are protected, but others need our help. I refer to the many animals that are bred for human consumption, but who are treated inhumanely during the process. (see my other posts regarding animal cruelty)
For information on how you can help to have laws changed to protect these animals, please contact:
Nathan Runkle at Mercy for Animals.
I am a vegetarian, but I ate meat and enjoyed it for 58 years of my life. I would never judge anyone for doing the same. My plea is for more humane treatment of animals, who are bred for human consumption. Please contact your congress people and ask for stricter laws regarding food raising farms and plants, and slaughterhouses.
Thank You,
Spike
