Mortgage nightmares |
My eviction story
I am an artist. I am inspired by the Teaneck NJ woman who was staving off foreclosure by selling homemade pies. She wanted to sell 100 pies at $40 each and so far has received 500 orders. Many Americans have suffered through the past year and now I confess that I have been touched by the economic downturn. I was out of work for 6 months last year and now I am part of the group of Americans known as the"working poor". I am currently in the process of being evicted. The uncertainty of my housing has made me “step up to the plate” and realize the American Dream of homeownership. Now, I am on a campaign to raise money for charity and also help realize the American dream of owning my own home. I want to change my life. I want to own a home and be free from landlords and pay the current $1,400 a month in rent towards my own mortgage. The only way to do this is for you to commission me to create an acrylic painting for $50 and send the commission to me soon. The goal is to commission 100 paintings at $50 each within 30 days to get caught up on my past rent to avoid eviction the first week of October 2009. I will be creating 100 paintings in 30 days…and eventually hope to receive commissions to paint at least 2,000 paintings by September 2010 to obtain homeownership. I can create any kind of seascape or landscape in acrylic. Log onto johntirrell.com to find out more.My writing address is John Tirrell, PO Box 426024, Cambridge MA 02142
