Finding romance on the road |
Long Distance Love
I moved from Montreal, Canada to Rochester, NY after I graduated college to pursue my career. I was part of a management leadership program that would have me traveling between New York, California and even England. With such a busy schedule there was no time for personal relationships. I had my mind set on my career and that was it.
While working at the Rochester location, I met Vijay who was also working for the same company. We were inseparable from the moment we met. We had both relocated to Rochester and didn't know many people around, so we decided to explore surrounding areas together. We even travelled to each other's home towns during the time we spent with each other.
We became close very quickly, but I would soon be relocating to California. I told Vijay that I didn't think it would be a good idea to continue seeing each other because long distance relationships are too difficult and never fair. He completely disagreed. So we gave it a shot.
More than two years later we are more in love than ever and have travelled to different places to meet each other. Our long distance relationship has introduced us to new things, new places and new people and we look forward to what the future has to bring!
