This iReport is part of an assignment:
    Finding romance on the road

    Nightmare

I met my future wife while traveling to Colombia.  I brought her to the usa and we got married here in Pennsylvania.   She has a social security number and has worked here.

She went back to Colombia at Christmas time to visit her family there.

As a result , she was not allowed back to the usa because of something called Advance Parole.  I did what immigrations told me to do to get my wife back into the country but when all was said and done, she was still denied entry.

We were told by local politicians that we would have to start the immigration process all over again.  That could be years because of the back log and the repayment of fees that I already have paid and the possibility of my wife being denied entry again.

So to make a long story short, we have been legally married now for 8 years and we were only together for about 5 months durring our first year of marriage and have been seperated ever since, even though it is not our choice to be.

There is so much more to tell but I will end it here!

    Sincerely Rick

Ps: My wife and I still talk on the phone occaisionally.

ps:  I have pictures of my wife and my wife and I together but not on the net.  I have an old picture of me (in a file) so I just posted that.
