This iReport is part of an assignment:
The Quinceañera |
Keila's Quinceanera
I remember my Quinceanera on October 26, 2002 as it was yesterday. I myself being born and raised in Buffalo, NY have become more American than others in my family who are from Puerto Rico. So of course when I was turning 15, my mother was more than excited to plan an elaborate party with all the fixings. I took that opportunity to include my closets girlfriends who are not of Hispanic decent. I believe that they got to understand me and my culture better from participating in my Quinceanera. They were more than excited to get to dressed and experience something they would have never seen in their own families.
