If You Had Faith...
Why doesn't God answer my prayers?
I have come to the conclusion that the answer is to be found in a saying attributed to Jesus: If you have faith even the size of a mustard seed, you will be able to say to the mountain 'Enter the sea', and it will obey you.
Cultivating faith even as small as a mustard seed is not easy by any means, because we have been conditioned from childhood to doubt, not believe.
If you search carefully the deepest recesses of your heart, you will undoubtedly come to the conclusion that everyone beyond the youngest child has had faith taken away by all the materialistic emphasis in our society -- starting with secular parents, schools and even religions.
That is why Christ also emphasized that, Unless you are like a little child, you will in no way enter the kingdom of heaven.
When we reach a point in our faith journey where we refer to God as "Papa" (Abba) like Christ did, we will enter the kingdom of heaven where miracles prayed for will become commonplace, not extraordinary any longer.
