How Liberals Can Win in Afghanistan

Afghanistan is one of the trifecta issues that will determine the next election. (Along with health care and jobs) Republicans are artful painting liberals as weak on military & national defense issues. But will Democrats prove Republicans right?

Bottom line with defense among Americans comes down to one simple universal ideology.  Whether or not you agree with the war, Winning  isn't everything its the only thing!  That's right, no one likes to lose.  Its as simple as that.

Extreme liberals use a lot of silly arguments to justify a position that they will pay for come election day if we lose in Afghanistan which will revert to becoming a safe heaven for training terrorists, a center for heroin, and nightmare for its women & people.

    1. They ask, "How many years are we going to stay there?"  That's a scare tactic. If we win we get to stay there peacefully forever. Improving national security and region stability.

    2. They say, "How can we support an illegitimate gov't?"  That's absurd.  Eight years ago we over threw the gov't and installed one that would be friendly to the US.  Hello! If it didn't work the first time then, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again".  The effectiveness of  its gov't is no excuse to leave because we created it.  Brainiac!

    3. They pressure, "Now that Obama won the Nobel peace prize, how can he send in more troops?"  Well, if we want peace in that region we must stabilize it.  Leaving would support chaos.  If Obama was smart, he would leverage his European stamp of approval(Nobel prize) to get more international support to clean up that hive of global terrorism.  Maybe by giving an acceptance speech that requests 30 thousand troops(half of the General's request) from the international community!  That way the Europeans can put their money where their approval is. What's the point of making good with are neighbors like Obama has done if they won't pitch in.  Not only that, but Democrats will prove the benifit's of diplomacy verses cowboy foreign policy.

I have to admit, the Bush administration pulled off what looks like a victory in Iraq at the very very last minute.  It was surprising and messy, but we can thank God.

My advice to Democrats is don't give Republicans a noose to hang you with 2012.  Put the troops in Afghanistan and commit to victory.  If Democrats prove to be strong on defense.  You leave one less reason to vote for your opposition.
