Why are Democrats wasting time kissing up to Olympia Snowe trying to convince her to vote for a Public option in the Health Reform Bill? I suggest they ignore this woman and move on without her, and in the process expose her for what she really is and why she is rejecting will of the people.

I submit that Senator Snowe is doing whatever is good for her while she continues to ignore and disrespect her constituency. A recent poll indicate that 57% of her constituency is telling Senator Snowe they want a Public option, but she continues to refuse it and is adamant about that refusal and acts as if she could care less what her mandate is on this issue is about.

So of course I have to find out why is Senator Snowe fighting tooth and nail to keep competition out of the insurance industry? Why is this Senator willing to go against the mandate of the people who elected her to Congress?

It is obvious that  Olympia Snowe seemed to have forgotten whom she works for.

In fact Snowe seemed to be working for her big money friends in the health care industry, and advocating for them just like a mother lion would protect her lion cubs.

The question is why would Senator Snowe be advocating for the people whom she is suppose to regulate? Why is this Senator willing to put insurance and pharmaceutical companies, and others in the health care industry ahead of American families? So I had to go “digging” and not to my surprise I discovered that our esteem Senator has receivedmore than $1 million in campaign contributions from the health care industry to date. It was also reported her staff, has ties to some of the biggest players in the insurance industry with major stakes in the reform effort… I think that is a conflict of interest?

According to Center for Responsive Politics in the course of her career Senator Snowe has received more than $400,000 in campaign contributions from the insurance industry; more than $400,000 in donations from "health professionals;" more than $135,000 in contributions from hospitals and nursing homes; more than $100,000 from pharmaceutical and health products companies, and more than $60,000 from health services and HMOs

Since Senator Snowe opposes Public option I was wondering what is her plan for the uninsured?  What is Olympia Snowe health care plans for you and your family? Lets put it this way, Snowe’s plan is no plan at all, and you will reach the same conclusion when you read her proposal.

Under Snowe’s health care reform proposal, public option would kick in years from now, but it would be triggered only if insurance companies fail to bring down healthcare costs and expand coverage in the meantime."

This is outrageous… Olympia Snowe really thinks the American people are either stupid or a bunch of morons that she would have the nerve to come up with such a lame proposal… is this woman out of her mind? Olympia Snowe is working hard, but not for the benefit of the people. I suggest that she is just another corrupted politician deep in the pockets of the health care industry.

And why would she jeopardize her Campaign contributions? After all she needs that money in her campaign piggy bank to run yet again, so that she can ram it to her constituents while she works hand and hand with the very same people she was elected to regulate. If that’s not corruption I really do not know what it?

Who is to blame for this betrayal? Look in the mirror and blame yourselves. Who keeps voting for this people over and over again? You do! That is why Senator Snowe could care less what her constituents wants her to do. This lady is more interested in protecting her friends in the health care industry… after all Olympia Snowe is just one more elected official in the pockets of lobbyist, in her case lobbyist that had worked for her in the past that are now pounding the halls of government with briefcases fill with cash to hand over to willing corrupted members of Congress willing to  ‘play’ the game’ and sell out the constituency and pass legislation that in the end shafts hard working Americans.

Olympia Snowe has been a member of Congress for to many years… where does it say she was elected for life. Enough is enough! If she is not working for the benefit of the American people then she needs to go, and make it official and get employment in the heath care industry, after all she is already working for them. I say vote her out!

Olympia Snowe should be ashamed of herself. She has betrayed her office, her constituents and American families. She took over a million dollars from the very same people she was elected to regulate and now she can’t bite the hand that feeds her… campaign contributions. Check yourself! Peace! cookie
