Video of meeting Michael Jackson at a restaurant in 2002

I wrote about my experience meeting Michael Jackon on iReport back in July. http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-293135

I had a video camera when I met him, and this is the home video of my encounter.

I met Michael Jackson by chance when we happened to be eating at the same restaurant in Orlando, FL in 2002. It was a great memory!

My first overall impression was that he was so nice. He was patient and kind, laughing with everyone. He did not get mad that we took about 10 pictures and even came back for more. He shook our hands and said "its so good to meet you." His voice was high and soft. His two children were with him, they had spiderman masks on.

His skin was very white and his hands were smooth and soft. I remember his lips were really red. His hair was a bit frizzled and every time he touched his hair, it seemed to stay in that position.

He tried to give everyone a little attention and gave side hugs to most people. He stayed at the restaurant until everyone had a chance to get a photo. As he started walking out to his car, the rush of people was overwhelming.

He seemed to accept his celebrity and seemed genuinely thankful of the of the attention and the compliments he was receiving. People were handing him things to autograph and even cell phones to talk into. It was chaos, but he remained calm and composed. He wasn't bored or indifferent. I guess I assumed he was going to be angry at all the cameras and everyone screaming for his attention, since we always see things like that on TV where celebrities try to run away or put their hands out; but this was not the case at all.

I currently live and working Beijing, China. Tomorrow I will give my "story' and share my photos and the above video at the world premiere of This Is It in Beijing. I'm looking forward to it!

    Enjoy the clip!
