- hhanks, CNN iReport producer
Panamanian Ojaldas (fried bread) is a staple in Panamá that is eaten right through the day. You can always find somebody walking the streets with a greasy bag with ojaldas. Mango trees are easy to find with the mangos falling off the trees.
Ojalda Recipe:
2 Cups Flour
¾ Cups Water
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Sugar
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
2 Tablespoons Of Vegetable Oil
Mix all dry ingredients then and wet ingredients and knead. Flatten out and fry. That is it.
