"This Is It" Film Review By Al Mealey "World Premier" In LA

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     TheVideoMan told me, 'I'm a major movie buff, so you have to put this in the concert documentary genre, and you have to put this as one of the best ever done. There was clapping and dancing throughout the movie. It was interesting to see what it would take to put that kind of concert on.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

Los Angeles, CA, 10/27/09 11:45PM At The Regal 14 Megaplex at LA Live. This film is one of the best ever shot in this genre - and to think it is pre-footage of a concert series that never happened, due to Michael Jackson's untimely death. What makes this film different? It's the inside story from the genius musician that has thrilled 3 generations of people around the world. Michael looked healthy in the footage that was shot at both the Forum and The Staples Center in LA. The "secret look" of how a concert series is produced is an education lesson in itself.  Michael is "hands on" with the best of the best that came from around the world to be in the auditions. He was both polite - and humble - with his staff.

The concerts would have been among the best ever done in the history of pop music. Most of the songs were from the 70's an 80's, from both the J5, "Off The Wall", "Thriller", and "Bad". The set props and special effects that would have been used by the Tour? Simply incredible! Mr Jackson inserted into Humphry Bogart's "Casablanca" on "Smooth Criminal". "Thriller" - Like You have never seen it before. Fireworks, Green Rooms, and a great, warm ending that left people crying. Wow - Its a "Must See" that is sure to demolish box office records everywhere.
