    Nasa's Ares 1X Launch

     

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     AlanFL says he's going to as many space launches as he can since the space shuttle program is winding down.

    After many weather delays the very first Ares rocket, the Ares 1X Test rocket blasted off from Kennedy Space Center on Oct 28, 2009.

     

    Ares program is slated to replace the aging Shuttle fleet and hopefully carry man back to the moon and then Mars.
