Swine Flu Nightmare in LA - The Panic Continues
- hhanks, CNN iReport producer
Each day in LA it gets worse. Last night, LA News Affiliates featured a tragic story on the Rodriguez family, whose mother passed away - with her baby - after contracting H1N1. The news spread thru the Latino community like wildfire, and the lines for the free clinics were even longer today. We arrived at 2:55PM, and after waiting for 4.5 hours for the vaccine, we were turned away - 4 people from the front door. This is going to get worse before it gets better. No doctors have the shot, Riverside and San Berdnadino County have ran out. Having lived in So Cal since 1973, I have never seen anything this bad. So far, 125,000 vaccines have become available - for a region with 20 Million People.
