While surfing the Internet a couple of days ago I ran in to a number of dog photos all dressed up in Halloween costumes. A few dogs were wearing home made costumes but the majority was wearing costumes pet owners can actually purchase. Why? You go figure...

Call me crazy but I really do not get it? Why dress up a dog? Or any animal for that matter. Or is this an opportunity for crazed dog owners to pretend their beloved "family members" are people too?

It never seems to amaze me… irresponsible dog owners whom get lost in their fantasy of pretending and rationalize dogs love to get dressed up… I guess it makes the owners feel good while the dogs suffer while wearing stupid dog fashion/clothing?

A dog that get dressed, if it could speak I am sure it would ask his ‘over the top’ owner how does it suppose to go to the bathroom if he is all dressed up and his genitals are covered?

What is even more disturbing is this is not a one-time thing, such Halloween... The fact is that irresponsible dog owners spend millions purchasing dog fashions every year. Some owners even have matching dog outfits to their fashions… this crazy behavior by dog owners is an everyday occurrence in the poor dog's life.

I realize that most dog owners believe their beloved dogs are same as people and dogs have feelings just like people and the rest of the crazy comparisons, but what the hell does any of any of it have to do with dressing up the poor dogs for Halloween or at all? Can the dogs just be dogs like intended to be… naked!

These crazy dog owners are creating a breed of wimpy Prima-Donna dogs; I am certain that by now some poor dogs no longer know what the hell they suppose to b or even act like? Dog owners are changing the behavior and personality of their dogs by pretending they are just like humans beings? Engaging in behavior that put the dogs in danger of dog attacks due to the fact their defenses are not as sharp and alert?

A dressed up dog cannot mount an effective defense when it is wearing a costume or any type of garment. In fact studies have shown that dogs that wear clothing are more susceptible to dog attacks and serious injuries. They cannot be on alert when their eyes, and ears are covered with all sorts of props. What the hell is wrong with these crazy dog addicted nuts! Leave the dogs alone to be dogs… after all that is what they are DOG not a person!

Another consequence that manifest from dressing dogs is that their personalities changes to a more needy creature, fearful, and dependent on the master for assurances, in effect creating a alteration in the dog’s personality which is replaced with an artificial one; all of this due to a dog abuser who could care less about reality and refuses to recognize that dogs are not people too and not meant to be dressed in any type of garments… not even for fun.

If dogs could only turn the tables and dress up their masters in a real dog suit, fur, a tail, snout, paws with claws and the rest of it… I would love to see that!! Would that be a ton of fun or what? Poetic justice? That would be great to see.

Instead of ridiculing the dogs by dressing them in silly, stupid costumes, better time spent would be training the dogs to go to the bathroom in or on their master’s properties instead of polluting the US waterways and the environment with dog feces. Studies show that most dog owners do not clean up after their dogs.

I suggest that dog owners if they really cared about animals they would use some of the millions spend buying dog clothing, fashion they should use to feed the homeless and the hungry...  they should get their priority straight.

Sorry to have to break it to you my dear friend dog lovers… but dogs are not people too and no matter how you dress them they turn out dogs. Check yourself!

It is you that loves Halloween... not the dogs!
