Taking a break from protecting the waters in the Pacific Ocean, we were let loose on liberty and a group of my U.S. Navy Shipmates got together and rented a fishing tour boat in Palau - Micronesia Islands.

We had a grand time! There were four of us (Navy Chiefs), three men and me.

Of course, the guys had the first shot at catching their one limit Wahoo. I was the last on the hand line as the Wahoo were not taking the bait on rod and reel.

Coming from behind, I managed to pull in this awesome Wahoo but none of us took home the biggest. They were all the same size.

When we returned to the tour base camp, we were fed like three kings and a queen with a special dinner. They filleted the Wahoo perfectly and we enjoyed both sashimi style and grilled Wahoo on a bed of rice and vegetables!

I have to say, this was one of my best trips around the world and back!
