Passions over health care reform |
REPUBLICAN WINS in NJ and VA Means We Can’t Wait
VA and NJ governor victories for the Republican Party mean that President Obama’s coalition must stay motivated. We can and will stay motivated ONLY if President Obama realizes that it is impossible to keep his campaign promise to make Congress bipartisan.
The Republicans will not vote for a Health Care Reform bill because it will almost guarantee Obama’s place in history. I agree with the view expressed on bipartisanship at:
http://www.cnn.com/2009/OPINION/11/03/zelizer.not.fathers.bipartisanship/index.html
Therefore, it is time that President Obama announced his support for a strong Public Option that will please his loyal supporters and the voters that voted for health care reform.
