"Courage in their Coverage" Iranian Rally Outside CNN, Los Angeles

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Pixel says she edited out most of the protesters' faces because many people were concerned about their families' safety in Iran.
    - davidw, CNN iReport producer

November the 4th marks the 30th Anniversary of the take over of the American Embassy and the Hostage Crisis in Iran. This year the Green Movement decided to use this date in the opposite direction, "calling for all Iranians both inside and outside Iran to come to the streets and announce this day as a day of friendship and solidarity amongst all people and the end of Hostilities with other nation" A peaceful protest was held  in solidarity with the protest in Iran. The purpose of the rally was to "promote Friendship and Respect between Americans and Iranians". The rally was held across the street from the CNN building on Sunset Street in Los Angeles. When I asked why they wanted to hold the rally here their response was "CNN is willing to cover the suffering of the people in Iran, when most other news outlets are not giving an accurate view of the truth of what is happening in Iran." One woman stated "CNN has courage"
I spoke with Hamib last night at the Iranian rally. Not of Iranian decent Hamib got involved to help support the  Iranian people and the suffering they are enduring. He spoke out on their behalf. Most protestors would rather have their voice heard and their faces left off the camera. They fear for their families safety in Iran. I shot this video from the back in respect to their needs and safety. I appreciated Hamibs passion and desire to help with their cause. The green banner cast a green hue on Hamib's body..... Green is the color that represents peace for the people in Iran and the sign of change.
