Abuja, Nigeria

This iReport is part of an assignment:
Light up Nigeria |
Road Kill
This photograph was taken by me on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway in Nigeria. The bad roads and dangerous vehicles are problems on their own that cause loss of life and also destruction of already hard to maintain infrastructure. It is like a 360 degree circle. The roads cause accidents, some fatal; the fire burns the overhead electrical cables that hardly supply electricity which in turn gives corrupt officials reasons to take more of our hard earned taxes to supply replacements that take years to implement and ultimately leads to more suffering for the average Nigerian. We need to support the cause to Light Up Nigeria in so many different ways. Derelict infrastructure causes a ripple effect in our suffering economy.
