National Geographic is Premiering a new movie about the Appalachian Trail, a 2,178 mile long trail that goes from Georgia to Maine.
Since the trail’s conception, in 1921, it has inspired many people of all ages and backgrounds to discover the beauty of the eastern mountains and forests.
I have had the joy of hiking most parts of the trail over the years (not a “Through - hiker” unfortunately) and am always amazed at how beautiful it is and how it inspires people. Take the time to enjoy it either in person or by watching the show!
The pictures are of some of my favorite views. I do not have pictures from my trips in Georgia, but it is all spectacular- in any season!
