NYS Retail Stores ID Everyone For Liquor and Tobacco Sales
Are you a retail sales clerk in NY State. Do you now proof everyone including the 70 year old buying tobacco? If you aren't you'd better.
The State has found a new source of revenue. This is done under the guise of protecting minors from buying liquor and tobacco.
Corporations are having to protect themselves and their employees by inconveniencing us by asking for proof. Entrapment? Yes!
Get a guy that looks like he's 40, with a full beard and talks gruff, that's only 20 and have him go in undercover to try to purchase liquor. Is this what the law was supposed to do? No..but it's a great source of revenue for this mismanaged state.
