Passions over health care reform |
Health Care Bill vs Veterans
My local radio talk show host last mentioned that N.Pelosi had promised to post the propsed bill on the web for 72 hours before having this vote. Well, if that was so, then she lied to every American yet again. I am retired serveperson of 25 years active duty with TriCare program for my family, and also receive a certain % of VA medical disablity on monthly basis. The bill as broadcasted today, doesn't say ANYTHING about what, if anything, happens to retired military folks' TriCare and VA Medical care benefits. Its nice to have info about inter-realtionship with Medicare, but what about us Vets? Does TriCare go away? Do Disabled Vets lose our benefits? I use the VA Medical system to handle my medical needs as currently authorized, and TriCare for family members. To lose TriCare (TriCare For Life) would be very insulting and would in many cases put health care coverage out of reach. If anyone has info on the effects of the bill on Vets, please post somethingsoon! Thank you!
