New York, New York

This iReport is part of an assignment:
USS New York comes home |
Back to the USS New York
Thousands came out to Pier 88 by the Hudson River in Manhattan to experience the USS New York, visiting the city whose name it carries for the first time.
From everyday people to NYPD, firefighters, Port Athority police, World War II veterans, even a National Park Service ranger stationed at the Statue of Liberty- it was a sight not to be missed and worth every moment of the long wait in line.
Here are some more photos I took during my visit on Sunday, November 8th, 2009.
