Decorate for Dax Nov 8 2009
Decorate for Dax, what is it?
As you will see in the video, Dax is loosing his battle with leukemia. The community of Washington, IL has come together to help "Decorate for Dax".
Yesterday, we held an event to decorate Harry LaHood Park, a park near the Locke's home. People came from all over to bring lights & see what they could do to assist. At 6 pm, we lit the shelter & walked several blocks to Dax's home. 1 little boy, it's estimated there were over 200 in attendance. His family graciously were waiting for us. We got to meet Dax & show our love & support.
You can help the cause by putting up your Christmas lights, taking a photo of your lights & submit them to www.decoratefordax.com On that website also are instructions on how to donate to St. Jude in Memphis to help find a cure for childhood cancer because no parent should have to go through what the Locke's have had to.
