Fort Hood shooting |
A Moment of Silence in Kileen
On the weekends, I work at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Kileen, Texas, as a religion teacher. The picture shows 13 crosses and 13 candles and 13 white roses.
The shooter killed 13 and wounded at least 30 at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas where he was posted as a military psychiatrist.
This is a community that has been devastated and needs all of the social and moral support. As a community and a nation we need to support our troops as much at home as abroad.
In 1991 a shooter crashed into a Luby’s restaurant here in Kileen and killed 23.
A student at the University of Texas at Austin, August 1, 1966, killed 14 people and wounded 32 others during a shooting rampage on and around the university's campus.
