A TIME LAPSE and Stills from a Drive Through Pure Beauty
Hey there friends...
First and foremost let me say happy birthday to two different parties today, Sesame Street and the USMC. It just so happens I got this together on the Marine Corps' Birthday and, since I am a prior-service Captain, I figured it appropriate to give a salute where one is most certainly due!!! For all Marines (and other Service men and women) deployed, let's all hope you get home safely to enjoy watching some Sesame Street with your little ones or even your friends… You are all missed and we want you back sooner rather than later, thanks very much!!! Semper Fidelis!!!
As to the iReport, my wife and I just got back from an epic road trip around the American Southwest. It was one life-changing experience to be sure. Amidst all the other incredible things we saw (stay tuned for other upcoming iReports from the same trip), we ended our sojourn in Moab, UT. Neither of us had been before and, since it wasn't too far from our home in Colorado, we decided to make a go of it. We didn't get to spend too much time there (we'll be going back for sure) but what little time we did spend was magical. The rock formations surrounding Moab are simply out of this world.
We stayed at the Sorrel River Ranch which is situated along the Colorado River up RT128 from Moab. So, I got a bunch of pictures around the Ranch and then hit up the time lapse on our drive back to the Interstate. The morning light made for a great video. Add to that some stills of the amazing landscape and a little music care of an American Irish trad duo and you get a good time all around…
So please, sit back and enjoy…
Cheers!!!
