ON HILLARY CLINTON VISITING THE PHILIPPINES..

I'm happy that Miss Hillary Clinton will visit the Philippines. Hillary Clinton is the current US secretary of state. She has already officially announced that she will visit the Philippines. She is also famous all over the whole world for her strong feminist stance. I just hope that she can relay some messages from the Filipino people to Pres. Obama. Such messages include:

the Filipino people's gratitude to the US as an ally who is always there to help during times of disasters and natural calamities; the Filipino people's entusiasm to cooperate with the rest of the world to forge effective international actiions to curtail degradations against the environment and extreme carbon-emissions to the athmosphere; and the Philippines as a willing global partner against global terrorism and religious extremism.

However, I hope that the Obama administration can review certain provisions in the Visiting Forces' Agreement between the Philippines

and the US that many Filipino nationalists and patriots consider as  dangerous to Philippine sovereignty. I believe that there are really some provisions in that agreement that can be considered as threats to the sovereignty and independence of the Filipino nation. Most  Filipinos are really in favor to such agreement provided that all the provisions in such a treaty would not violate the sovereignty of the Philippines. I hope that the Obama administration will really review

the Visiting Forces' Agreement between the US and the Philippines.

I'm also praying that Pres. Obama himself will visit the Philippines and tour the Southeast Asian region. Obama's would-be visit to Southeast Asia would somehow inspire the whole place to work closely together in order to eradiacte discriminatory policies against certain ethnic minorities and foster religious freedom all over the region. Hence, I’m hoping that Obama will come to visit the Philippines.
