Happy Father's Day and the Cardboard Cutout
My dad has always been very picky when it comes to movies. Just about the only films that he's ever seen more than once were the Indiana Jones films. He loves everything about them, and in his mind they are the perfect flick (and who can disagree?). Eventually the 4th Indiana Jones was underway and he was as excited as a child in a candy shop.
Now, if you knew my father you'd know that he hates going out to the movies, and even more so, he hates going to the movies in a crowded theater. He enjoys his peace and quiet, and he'd much rather see a film in the privacy of his own home. So you must understand how shocked I was when my father couldn't WAIT to rush into the crowded theaters on opening day to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
So this Father's Day, I gave him what any Indiana Jones fan needs the most....A cardboard cutout of Harrison Ford.
Happy Father's Day!
