Veteran's Day Tributes In SL
- hhanks, CNN iReport producer
November 11th is a day for us to reflect and remember the people who keep us safe. You can pay a tribute to members of the Armed Forces for Veterans Day in Second Life. The SL Veteran’s Tribute sim features grey stone memorial walls with spaces for inscriptions, so that friends and families can include the names of their loved ones who fought for their country. You can add a flag or a rose to mark your own personal tribute too, which is a really nice idea.
In the United Kingdom there was also a real life service for Armistice Day today, it is the 91st anniversary of the end of World War 1. A two-minute silence was held in memory of all those who bravely fought, and a special mention was made in respect of the last three veterans who died earlier this year.
