This iReport is part of an assignment:
Salute to troops |
To all of those who suffer in silence. Who cannot bring themselves to talk about the war!
In May of this year, I wrote and recorded this song at my house.
I wrote it about my brother Matt.
He didn't want to talk about all he had seen in Iraq. Even though I was very curious about his experiences there.
He would just say "someday" Gretchen, but not today!
I just can't talk about it yet.
After speaking to my brother. I realised how horrible it must be for the soldiers who have witness such violence to try to return to normal lives.
So once again I will play this for him.
And anyone else who is suffering in silence.
