Veterans Help Needy with Turkey Run
American Legion Post 80 in Grants, New Mexico does a Turkey Run to raise money to feed needy families at Thanksgiving. On November 7, the Legion Riders gathered for the fund raiser. The group does many fund raisers throughout the year.
Their mission is 1) "To be instrumental in initiating charity, ie, funds and/or goods for individuals and organizations requiring public support or assistance." 2) "To provide a venue of camaraderie and brotherhood among veterans and their families who enjoy motorcycling and helping those in need."
On November 11, they did a free dinner in honor of Veterans Day and will deliver dinners to needy families on Thanksgivin
