    Remembering Tim Russert

    Russert was a Rock Star

About 2 weeks ago my sister and I were having a discussion about pop culture which led to a discussion about politics and I said "let me just say, Tim Russert is a Rock Star".  This was after I had watched one of his famous "that's what you say now, but look what you said then" moments.  He was the standard in political journalism.  This past Friday, it was my sister who called me and told me the news.  I felt like I had been punched in the gut.  If February 3rd, 1959 was the day the music died, then June 13th, 2008 is the day accountabilty died.
