Do the energy saving CF bulb live up to their warranty?
President Bush publicly touted the compact flourescent lamps. Now that America has fully embraced these new bulbs, has anyone gone back and examined their performance? The package warranty indicates 10,000 hours between failures. I have had to change a large number of these bulbs due to failure.
One gentleman I spoke with at Home Depot told me one of his bulbs shorted out and caused a small fire.
Has anyone else experienced poor performance from these new bulbs?
