    2012: Good But Not Great

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     BarbRad says she'd give '2012' between three-and-a-half and four stars. She was a big fan of the special effects, but says she would have cut the film to two hours.

    I've seen lots of disaster movies; I'm a disaster movie efficianado.  I know the plots, characters and cliches like the back of my hand...and 2012 included them all.  It also included scientific inprobabilities and inpossibilities.

     

    I don't care. 2012 was well written, well acted, and the special effects were outstanding.

     

    However, 2012 had one major problem that caused me to give it a lower rating than I might have: it was MUCH TOO LONG!  The director needs to recall the movie, recut it, and then send it out to the theaters once more.
