Poland Confirms at Least Two First Victims of Swine Flu
A 37 year-old man died last Friday of pneumonia in Gdańsk becoming the country's first swine flu victim. The second person died in Łódź. The third suspected of carrying the Influenza A (H1N1) virus died last weekend in Krakow.
There have been about 270 cases of A (H1N1) confirmed this year in Poland.
Minister of Health Ewa Kopacz declared last week that Poland would not buy swine flu vaccines until they are proven to be safe.
