PRESIDENT OBAMA: Can we convince China to manufacture here?

When our trade imbalance with Japan was at its worst, we were able to convince the Japanese that it would benefit both of our economies for them to do some of their manufacturing here.
While the Chinese prefer to keep their manufacture in their own country, can we attempt to convince them that to manufacture some things here would have the same positive outcome it did with Japan?
