    Start up the draft: Put people to work.

    Every able bodied man and woman that is the main 'bread winner' in their family and is out of work, should be drafted.

    This does not necessarily mean they would have to serve in combat. Under certain circumstances they might perform other necessary support duties here at home.

    They would have a paycheck and health insurance and our military would be strong again. It would break free many of those physically capable of serving in the combat areas.

    This would be not much different than what FDR did with the WPA.
