mass on tv in honor of Our lady of the Rosary and Chiquinquira
just wanted to share in this section tv images of the mass in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary and Chiquinquira, patron saint of the state of Zulia, Venezuela. Today, november 18th, marks 300 years of marian aparition in the city, The square outside the church is where the mass was held. many believers make their pilgrimage to the church. Public personalities praise their respects to the saint. November 18th is a regional holiday, aside from the obvious religious events, many tourists also flock into town to enjoy the week long festivities and events (sports, music and theater), but today, Chavez announced it was declared a working day just like the rest of the country. will employers sanction employees who didnt go to work today? will this put a damp on next years festivities and tourism industry? Last year a chavist mayor was in office, but he lost to this year's opposition candidate. why didnt Chavez announced this last year when he had the "support"?
