This iReport is part of an assignment:
Schools in trouble |
CA schools: only the wealthy need apply
Posts asserts that these tuition increases, which are actually happening across the country are going to price the non-wealthy out of an education. In a State that builds more prisons than schools, the priorities have never been on those who are without means. Some of these students priced out will turn to crime for money and then we will blame their parents or their community when they go to jail. The government can bail out the auto industry and the banks but public education still suffers. It's sad enough that many of these students already come from underfunded schools. Now it seems their high school graduation date will be the end of their formal education. We can't let this happen!
