There was also a 32% tuition hike this year on California State Universities and are also expected to rise for 2011-2012.  I covered the protests at California State University Fullerton (CSUF).

This is the vetted iReport from last month:

"Hell No To Furloughs!" Chant CSUF Students

It will only get worse before it gets better.  A source inside the CSUF faculty told me that there is a plan to "close down the school" in the spring.

I twittered @Schwarzenegger, the California Governor "How many protests&arrests will it take before to lower CA College Tuition Hikes? #ccth"

I know there is a recession going on, but as the professor in the above iReport told me "eating the seed corn" will not make our economy get any better.

I am not an artist, but I was inspired to draw my first political cartoon that says a lot about what's going on in the California public college system.

I have 3 semesters left of college and at the rate they are cutting classes I think it might take 5.  And I am considered one of the lucky ones.
