    My wife and I went to Colorado in August to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We drove 35 miles from Gunnison where the temperature was 85 degrees at an elevation of 7700 feet to Mt Crested Butte at 12000 feet where the temperature was 50 degrees. We are from the midwest and the temperature back home was close to 95 and the elevation is 500 feet.
