Rationing - now you can understand what a Death Panel is.
When Sarah Palin said the new healthcare would have 'Death Panels' many people went ballistic. They said she was crazy and didn't know what she was talking about. The point she was making was that the government was going to come into your healthcare plan and decide things that you personally might consider a death sentence. That is what panels do they decide for or against things and the government is going to have panels. If they decided for everything there wouldn't be a need for panels. Let's face it, when it comes down to you personally thinking you need something then you really want it and don't care what someone else thinks. If your doctor tells you that you need surgery or a mammogram or whatever, you do not like an insurance company or the government telling 'No'. You believe the doctor and could consider it a death sentence if the treatment is not performed. This reform bill was supposed to change existing problems with our current private insurance. Without a doubt one of those items was insurance companies denying coverage. Now we see the government is going to do the same thing and it is obviously worse with mandating less preventive service. My sister-in-law is in her 40's and has stage 3 breast cancer. This was discovered because she had a mammogram. She would absolutely not be here today if this was not done. A Death Panel has now sentenced many other young woman to an early grave. Wake up people, rationing is on the way. Governments have budgets and that is how they do or not do things. When the money wears thin, and it always does, less coverage will be provided and you will not be able to do a damn thing about it. Good luck if they pass this government healthcare mess - you are going to need it.
