Ebay Outage
As many buyers and sellers tried to search Ebay in the early afternoon Saturday Nov., 21 most only saw the "loading" script and the error message " We were unable to run the search you entered. Please try again in a few minutes,"as one of the largest, most popular internet sites was down, reportedly worldwide.
Searches for items were very slow, and in most cases resulted in a zero finds for what are usually popular Ebay items, from autos to sports items to makeup.
Looking at the technical forums, which were working, are the posts of many frustrated users and store owners that count on the site to buy and sell.
There is also a lot of activity at the popular social networking site twitter about the ebay outage.
Ebay, on their official announcements page ignored the problem and only offered work arounds .
This will be quite a loss of sales to thousands of store owners and sellers that auction items daily to sell worldwide, especially moving in to the busy holiday season.
