Let There Be Light! Bentonvile Celebrates Christmas.
November 21, 2009.
Tonight at 5:45 P.M. Central Time, Bentonville, AR, turned on its Christmas Lights around the historic square where Sam Walton began the Wal-Mart empire with a little 5-and-dime store in the early 1950's.
The lights, for the first time, were LED's. The mayor said the city was now paying only 10% of what it had paid for holiday lights in the past.
