LEOPARD DIED IN ROAD NEAR KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
A Leopad was stiked by a vehicle to death on National Highway road 37 at Bongaon area 10 km away from Kaziranga National Park, Assam, India on 21 Nov 2009. The report said that the pragnent Leopard was crossing NH 37 road and striked by a vehicle at night. The head portion of the tiger was smashed and resulting to death. Tiger Sensus shows - 3000 tigers in year 2006 and 1400 tigers in year 2009 in North East area.
